2. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
Most Important Hazards: This product may irritate eyes and skin upon prolonged or repeated exposure. Inhalation of high
concentrations of dust may produce irritation of the respiratory tract. Calcium carbonate is not considered
carcinogenic. However, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) has determined that silica
is a known human carcinogen. OSHA does not regulate silica as a carcinogen.
Specific Hazards: Vigorous release of carbon dioxide when contacted with strong acids. React violently with fluorine gas.

Skin: May cause dry skin with extended exposure.

coughing.
Ingestion: Not applicable under normal industrial situations
